LAG Members

Would you like to become a member of the South Pennines Local Action Group?  We are currently recruiting for new members,  please download our application form and send to the Programme Administrator.


The local action group is made up of a mixture of local people from the private, public and voluntary sectors. The Group also aims to have a good representative mix of people in terms of age and gender.The Local Action Group will drive forward a programme with a sharp focus on rural economic growth and members therefore have the following skills;

  • Strategic planning and implementation
  • Leadership and objective setting
  • Understanding business finance, opportunity and investment
  • Community empowerment and involvement, including networking
  • Managing organisational and financial performance
  • Managing organisational risk
  • Openness to change and managing change
  • Equality and diversity
  • Marketing media and communications
